Encouraging Your Child to Write at Home

Here are a few fun activities to help encourage your child’s writing at home.

Write letters and cards to family members and friends. What fun when they receive a letter back.

Encourage your child to write stories about their favorite things.

Have your child keep a journal. My older son has a note book that he keeps to write stories, record what happened during the day, and other fun stuff he’s created.

Use fun writing tools such as markers, gel pens, crayons, colored pencils, etc.

Have paper and writing tools easily accessible for your child, so they can write when inspiration strikes.

I hope you found these tips helpful.
