Extraterrestrial Culture Day is a time to celebrate and honor all past, present and future extraterrestrial visitors in a way to enhance relationships among all citizens of the cosmos, known and unknown. The day originated in New Mexico, which is recognized worldwide as the nexus of sightings and unexplained mysteries.
Here are a few recipes to help in the celebration
Purple Plasma Crunch
8 cups popped popcorn
1 cup salted peanuts
¼ cup butter
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 package (4-serving size) grape jell-o
Heat oven to 300 degrees.
Line a 15X10X1 pan with foil or wax paper.
Place popcorn and nuts in a large bowl
Heat butter and syrup in small sauce pan over low heat. Stir in sugar and gelatin. Bring to a boil on medium heat. Reduce heat to low and gently simmer for 5 minutes. Immediately pour syrup over popcorn, tossing to coat.
Spread popcorn in prepared pan, using two forks to spread evenly.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan and break into small pieces.
Star Burst Shake
3 cups cold milk
1 package (4 serving size) jell-o lemon flavor pudding mix
1 ½ cups ice cream, vanilla
Pour milk into blender.
Add pudding mix and ice cream, cover.
Blend on high for 30 seconds or until smooth.
Pour into glasses and enjoy.
